Hello! My name is Jackie Savage. This is Savage Classroom.

Like so many professional teachers, I have gone through hours of evaluations by department chairs, administrators, principals, etc., etc. However, the evaluation I am most proud of came from something a colleague overheard one of my students saying about me: “she’s tough, but she doesn’t kill your soul.” To me, this says I have done my job!

“She’s tough, but she doesn’t kill your soul.”

My passion is helping teachers and students see how awesome they and the world around them are and can be.

So…Making Aligning to Standards Less Miserable and More Meaningful…what does that mean?

1. Resources and assessments that align with national standards AND are relevant, engaging, and…dare I boast?…kind of cool!

2. Advice on how to use these resources effectively.

3. Insights on how to set high expectations for your diverse learners, while creating a positive classroom culture (that won’t “kill souls”).

4. Materials that SAVE YOU TIME, so you can focus on the bigger fish you have to fry: learning about your students, taking night classes, taking care of your family, cutting the grass, getting gum out of your youngest kid’s hair…taking care of yourself! Whatever you need the extra time for!
